Job Description

To contribute to guest satisfaction by preparing and serving high quality food products in accordance with Port Royal standards.

  1. Meets and exceeds guest and team member expectations by providing positive and courteous service and teamwork.
    • Provides value added service to guests by doing whatever reasonable and possible to meet or exceed guest expectations.
    • Communicates effectively with guests, supervisors and co-workers.

  2. Coordinates all hot and cold food preparation including banquets when necessary.
    • Prepares sauces, soups and hot entrees for service and special functions insuring that all stations are set for forecasted covers.
    • Demonstrates recipe knowledge for all soups, sauces and entrees making suggestions to improve quality and eliminate waste.
    • Assures that all kitchen personnel and servers are aware of specials, plate presentations and prices.
  3. Assists personnel in checking all coolers and storage areas for cleanliness, quantity and quality of food products and to assure proper plate presentation and requisitioning procedures are followed.
  4. Prepares work checklist and organizes work stations for each shift, maintaining high levels of productivity and sanitation at all times.
  5. Consults with Chef regarding menu, controls the portioning and rotation of foods to contain food costs while maintaining Port Royal standards.
  6. At all times maintains a valid Food Handlers Permit.
  7. Adheres to Port Royal policies and procedures.

Maintenance Technician (General Maintenance)
Pay: $16.00 per hour

 

Job Overview

To maintain guest and common areas in accordance with Port Royal’s Standards, by performing preventative maintenance and repairs as necessary.

 

Job Duties

  • Maintains the overall appearance of the condominium unit; replaces broken mirrors, hang fixtures, does touch –up painting, etc. Repairs and maintains room’s heating/ventilating/air conditioning systems
  • Uses both power and hand tools regularly in a safe, efficient manner
  • Performs preventive maintenance throughout other areas of Port Royal as well, including both the front and heart of the property, interior and exterior

Job Overview

We are seeking a certified EPA Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in HVAC systems, equipment repair, and property maintenance.

 

Job Duties

  • Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify faulty equipment and perform necessary repairs
  • Troubleshoot HVAC systems to identify issues and implement solutions
  • Utilize tools such as Ohmmeters and welding equipment for repairs
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used
  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes and regulations

 

Experience

  • 2 years prior experience in HVAC system installation, maintenance, and repair
  • Proficiency in ammonia refrigeration systems is a plus
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and design specifications

Housekeeping Supervisor

Pay: $15.25 per hour

 

Major Areas of Accountability

  • Provide positive and courteous service and teamwork.
  • Communicates effectively to Team. Demonstrates Teamwork by cooperating and assisting Team and Co-workers as needed.
  • Handles difficult situations effectively and asks Management for assistance when necessary.
  • Supervises Team of Housekeepers in the prompt and efficient housekeeping of guest units:
    • Ensure that all units have been cleaned by checking housekeeper worksheets at the end of the day – Notifying the Front Desk accordingly.
    • Supervises the completion of short notice requests for unit changes.
    • Notifies Management of any units requiring the replacement or repair of furniture, fixtures, etc.
    • Inspects all checkout/stay over units after they are made up to ensure they are cleaned to Port Royal’s standards. (See Housekeeping Cleaning Rules)
    • Keeps record of unit checkouts/stay overs and submits to Housekeeping
      Management every day
    • Monitors quality of units by conducting and documenting inspections of cleaned units.
    • Coordinates cleaning of guest units for proper prioritization of guest requests; VIP units, check-out units, expected check-out rooms, etc. Team Management Responsibility and Guidelines
    • Effectively train all new Housekeepers per the Housekeeping Cleaning Rules.
    • Training the housekeeping staff is a primary responsibility. This means educating new hires on the policies and procedures of the department, methods of cleaning and maintenance, locations of supplies and the layout of the property.
    • An employee’s ability to do their work accurately is often a direct  reflection upon the supervisor and quality of training.
    • Document performance of Housekeeping Team and submit forms to Housekeeping Management per the communicated schedule.
    • Communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally. Clearly communicate expectations, suggestions, constructive criticism, and company policy in a professional and easy-to-understand manner.
    • Customer service is also important for housekeeping supervisor, and must polite, professional, and open-minded at all times. He must listen to customer complaints and suggestions and provide constructive feedback to his staff.

Primary Objective of Position:

  2. Ensures guest satisfaction by cleaning guest units daily according to operational policies and standards.
    • Removes soiled bed and bath linens and replaces with clean linens as required.
    • Removes accumulated trash and debris from units as required.
    • Washes all tile floors.
    • Cleans bathroom area.
    • Cleans all mirrors.
    • Dusts all surfaces.
    • Replaces all burnt out light bulbs.
    • Replenishes promotional materials and literature.
    • Replenishes room amenities.
    • Vacuums room as required.
    • Cleans washers and dryers.
    • Cleans out cupboards and vanities and all drawers.
    • Cleans refrigerators, stove and oven area and microwaves.
    • Reports unusual circumstances to Housekeeping Department.
    • Reports maintenance requests and replacement orders.
    • Turns in articles left in rooms to Housekeeping office for “Lost and Found” handling.
    • Leaves all guest belongings in stay over units unless they have been discarded in the trash.
  3. Maximizes job efficiency and neat, orderly appearance by maintaining supply cart and vacuum cleaner.
    • Stocks supply carts correctly.
    • Replaces and/or empties vacuum cleaner bag daily.
    • Cleans cart and vacuum cleaner on a regular basis.
  4. Ensures safety and maximum security.
    • Reports all “Do Not Disturb” or bolted door units to Housekeeping Department at the specified time.
  5. Adheres to Port Royal policies and procedures.
    • Attends work on time as scheduled.
