A/C Technician (HVAC Certified)
Pay: $20.00 – $22.00 per hour

 

Job Overview:
We are seeking a certified EPA Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in HVAC systems, equipment repair, and property maintenance.

 

Duties:

  • Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify faulty equipment and perform necessary repairs
  • Troubleshoot HVAC systems to identify issues and implement solutions
  • Utilize tools such as Ohmmeters and welding equipment for repairs
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used
  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes and regulations

 

Experience:

  • Prior experience in HVAC system installation, maintenance, and repair
  • Proficiency in ammonia refrigeration systems is a plus
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and design specifications
  • Strong mechanical aptitude for equipment repair
  • Knowledge of plumbing systems for HVAC applications
  • Experience as a service technician in property maintenance

Primary Objective of Position:
To provide quality service to restaurant guests by providing prompt and courteous food and beverage service.

  • Provides value-added service to guests by doing whatever reasonable and possible to meet or exceed guest expectations.
  • Communicates effectively with guests, supervisors and co-workers.

Lifeguards (Certification Provided)
Pay: From $15.00 per hour

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum 16 years of age
  • Ability to swim 50 yards without stopping
  • Able to enter the pool safely, swim 20 yards to retrieve 10 lbs. of weight, return to the starting point within 1 minute, 50 seconds.
  • Training/Certification is available to those that meet the minimum qualifications.

 

Job Title: Lifeguard
Responsible for ensuring the safety of facility patrons by preventing and responding to emergencies.

 

Lifeguarding:

  • American Red Cross or equivalent Lifeguarding and First Aid.
  • American Red Cross or equivalent Waterfront Lifeguarding and First Aid for non-surf open-water positions.
  • American Red Cross or equivalent Water park Lifeguarding and First Aid for water park and multi-attraction facility positions.
  • American Red Cross CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer.
  • Pre-employment testing of lifeguarding knowledge and skills may be required.
  • Pre-employment drug screen required.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills required!

 

Prerequisites:

  • Must be 16 years of age on or before the final scheduled session of this course.
  • Swim 100 yards continuously demonstrating breath control and rhythmic breathing. Candidates may swim using the front crawl, breaststroke or a combination of both but swimming on the back or side is not allowed. Swim goggles are allowed.
  • Tread water for 2 minutes using only the legs. Candidates should place their hands under the armpits.
  • Complete a timed event within 50 seconds.
  • Starting in the water, swim 20 yards using the front crawl or breaststroke. The face may be in or out of the water. Swim goggles are not allowed.
  • Submerge to a depth of 4 to 5 feet to retrieve a 10-pound object. Return to the surface and walk or swim 20 yards to return to the starting point with both hands holding the object at the surface of the water.
  • Exit the water without using a ladder or steps

 

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Thorough knowledge and application of lifeguarding surveillance and rescue techniques.
  • An understanding of facility characteristics, rules, policies and procedures.
  • Leadership and public relations skills.
  • Decision-making and communication skills.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Distributing pool towels and inventory.
  • Setting up cabanas and taking down.
  • Recognize and respond quickly and effectively in emergencies and Lifesaving events.
  • Enforce all aquatic facility policies, rules and regulations.
  • Inspect the facility on a daily schedule and report any unsafe conditions or equipment to the supervisor.
  • Complete records and reports.
  • Participate in regular in-service training sessions.
  • Maintain fitness level (swimming skills, strength, and endurance).

Maintenance Technician (General Maintenance)
Pay: $15.00 per hour

 

To maintain guest and common areas in accordance with Port Royal’s Standards, by performing preventative maintenance and repairs as necessary.

  2. Responds to both guest and staff reports of non-functioning equipment immediately
    • Maintains the logbook to record the equipment in need of repair and priorities efforts accordingly
  3. Maintains rooms in optimal operating condition by performing repairs as needed
    • Understands the Room Preventative Maintenance Program
    • Prepares preventative maintenance cart for use each day
    • Repairs televisions, phones, clock radios, etc.
    • Replaces or repairs damaged bathroom fixtures and executes general plumbing as needed
    • Maintains the overall appearance of the condominium unit; replaces broken mirrors, hang fixtures, does touch –up painting, etc.
    • Repairs and maintains room’s heating/ventilating/air conditioning systems
    • Uses both power and hand tools regularly in a safe, efficient manner
  4. Performs preventive maintenance throughout other areas of Port Royal as well, including both the front and heart of the property, interior and exterior
    • Ensures that all employees follow safety rules and procedures
    • Takes corrective action where required to improve safety of work areas
  5. Maintains operating equipment to be in working condition by performing routine equipment checks and repairs
  6. Demonstrates familiarity with Port Royal’s life safety systems and takes corrective action on any maintenance or operating problems which may affect the security or operating conditions of Port Royal
  7. Handles master set of keys in accordance with Port Royal’s standards for the overall security of the property
  8. Reports any hazards or injuries in the department or at Port Royal and takes immediate action to correct
  9. Maintains and assists in the cleanliness of individual work area

Primary Objective of Position: To increase room revenues and guest satisfaction by providing efficient and courteous service in accordance with Port Royal’s standards.

 

Major Areas of Accountability:

  1. Meets and exceeds guest and team member expectations by providing positive and courteous service and teamwork.
    • Provides value added service to guests by doing whatever reasonable and possible to meet or exceed guest expectations
    • Ensures that guest’s mail and messages are delivered promptly
    • Communicates effectively with guests, supervisors and co-workers
    • Demonstrates teamwork by cooperating and assisting co-workers as needed
    • Assists in handling difficult situations
    • Performs other duties as required to provide positive and courteous service and teamwork
  2. Provides quality service to guests by responding to their requests promptly, courteously and efficiently
    • Responds to guests requests for information about Port Royal.
    • Assists in arranging special services requested by the guest.
    • Stays current with developments at Port Royal by reviewing the communication logbook of each shift, updates logbook for the next shift.
    • Arranges fulfillment of guest services by working with the Guest Services Staff, Sales/Catering, Housekeeping, Reservations, Front Desk, Food & Beverage and Facilities Departments.
    • Assists with the set-up and breakdown, including clean-up of all meeting/banquet rooms.
  3. Demonstrates familiarity with Port Royal’s life safety systems –
    • Patrols the property to ensure guest, owner and employee safety.
    • Reports any hazards or injuries (accident reports, incident reports, missing item reports, etc.) at Port Royal and takes immediate action to correct.
  4. Handles guest complaints; refers to Front Desk Manager whenever necessary
