TEDxWomen Comes to Port Royal
We are very excited to announce that we will be hosting a live steam of TEDxWomen on December 6 from 1-4 p.m. at Port Royal.
The TEDxWomen talks celebrate invention in all its forms. Not just technology inventions, but also new solutions to poverty; new approaches to leadership; new expressions of art and music; and, at times, the invention of our own lives. Like to join us? Some of the speakers include Diana Nyad and Sheryl Sandberg – a fantastic lineup, to be sure – please register at http://www.eventbrite.com/e/tedxwomen2013-tickets-9478100253.
Restaurant 361 will be open for lunch with some great specials so bring a few friends and make a day out of it! We truly hope that you will come and experience these inspiring and insightful conversations with us!
What are TED and TEDx? TEDx was founded through TED, a nonprofit whose mission is spreading ideas. These ideas are spread at two annual conferences through a series of 18 minute or less talks and performances about technology, entertainment and design from the world’s most inspiring thinkers. Over 1,500 Ted Talks are online and free to view.
TEDx takes all of TED’s fundamentals and brings them to you. With the same mission to spread ideas, TEDx is designed to give communities, organizations and individuals the opportunity to stimulate dialogue through TED-like experiences at the local level.
TEDx events show screenings of TED Talks videos or a combination of live presenters and TED Talks videos which spark deep conversation and connections. TEDx events are planned and coordinated independently by the community in which its held.
