Buc Days of Corpus Christi
It is that time of year again for the Corpus Christi Buccaneer Days! This annual tradition is a special time in the Coastal Bend area. The Buccaneer Commission has been holding these events since 1938. The purpose of the festival is to bring cultural experience and community pride to the Coastal area. They do this by mixing fun events with educational experiences to create a memorable festival each year. They have everything from the Pro Rodeo, a Carnival, BBQ Tailgate Party, and the infamous Illuminated Night Parade. There are over 160,000 people that attend each year to enjoy this exceptional parade and the other festivities.
The festival runs from April 21st-May 1st, 2016. There will be over 25 bands playing throughout the festival some include the John Cortex Band, Reno Perez and the Groove Getters, and many more!
The Rodeo was held last weekend, but that does not mean there is not so much more to partake in. There will be the Carnival as mentioned earlier sponsored by Stripes as well as the Petting Zoo to enjoy.
There is going to be something for everyone in the family to enjoy at this festival! So grab the family and get ready for the Buc Days of Corpus Christi.
